I Am An Author Who You Known, I am Christian

"Take up the cross and follow me" Matthew 16: 24

If you are a loyal reader who has been reading since the first writing published in January 2020, I would like to announce that I have a fact that really needed to announce. Look at a title, that says I am Christian. Yep, I am Christian and am a follower of Christ. I have prepared some questions might you want to ask

  • When was getting baptized?

In December 2019 at GKI Gejayan, Yogyakarta. My baptized name is Malachi Raka.

  • Where is the church usually you worship?

English Worship, Yogyakarta.

  • Why did you convert to Christianity?

It’s a long story but that came to me who had been fighting for the truth and what makes me feel comfortable and to grow up who am myself. I converted because it’s my decision not because of a girlfriend, I do not have a girlfriend and am still single. After spending two years, I ended up finding Jesus Christ through coming to the church and started tearing up while listening to Christian songs. I really love praising and singing Christian songs. I really wanted to be a Christian and it happened in Dec 2019. And, now, I am a Christian and proud of who am I. I want to live with Him for the rest of my life until death. Life and death only for Jesus Christ.

  • Why did you decide to follow Jesus Christ?

Since joining English Worship, I got called by Lord. He wanted me to be a good Christian and create what looks like Jesus Christ to love what I hate, forgiveness, kindness, respect, and faithful. I was a high porn addict and had problems, like depression, loneliness, and always being angry at what happened and something I disliked.  By following Jesus Christ, I gave my entire body to Him and He came into my body through the Holy Spirit. I really want to live in a godly Christ and what He wants for me. I will never be worried about my future because He has prepared beautiful things for me and He loves me as well as He loves you.

  • How about your old religion?

I never hate Muslims. In John 13: 34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I love you, so you must love one another.” I love you, my parents, enemies, friends, community, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and everyone needed to be loved.

I think that’s enough for responding to five questions. I’m going to respect you because I still love you and pray for you. I am a Christian and a follower of Jesus Christ, that’s my decision, and will never regret. I'm going to apologize if you are probably going to be angry or disappointed with my decision. I still care about you because I love you.

Thank you for reading.

Saya ...

Gloss, A Forgotten Learning Foreign Language and Translate

I was testing a student who stood up to share her short story in signs in our class. She was so good at signing despite sign language being the third language that she is learning and isn't a native speaker. She was confused about gloss or glosa in Indonesian. That's the thing that is most often forgotten when learning and translating a foreign language. Foreign language teachers almost never teach about gloss to students and yeah, I am sure some do and some do not.  The Gloss (Gr) means when a word is attached to a sign in simple terms. It refers to the way that ASL (American Sign Language) names signs in order to give a sense of the meanings behind them. A word or word that represents that sign does not signify its meaning in any way (source: What Are Glosses in Sign Language/  https://www.ilovelanguages.com/what-are-glosses-in-sign-language ). A gloss happens because it causes when a student who learns a second language but their mind that used to be a native language as bo...
