How Much Important The Women's Soccer in Surakarta?

(Source: https://www.persissolo.id/berita/persis-resmi-membentuk-tim-profesional-putri)

I was born in Sragen and grew up in different cities, Wonosobo (9 years), Surakarta (6 years), and now in Yogyakarta (4 years), I would probably move again. This is literally being nomads. But, Solo is my hometown. Where are my parents come from and raised, meanwhile they were born and raised in Sragen which is just 21 miles. I spent six years in Solo so I might be a shortener than my time in Wonosobo. However, Solo is would be my hometown. I can't speak in Javanese, but it doesn't mean that I can not be a Solo/ Surakarta person, that I would proud of where was I raised.

Growing as a Solo person, I never support Persis Solo aka a soccer team because I hate men's soccer, any of a 'soccer thing' even though I'm a Cules, an FC Barcelona fan and I'm more of an American sports fanatic fan, especially football and basketball. But by launching a new professional women's soccer team, it made me feel proud of, happy, and excited to watch them at Manahan Stadium. This is really important. I was reminded of when I always come and see the girls playing soccer at Kotabarat field, at downtown. I went to Manahan, any of neither who I liked. But this makes I would watch and support the women's soccer. I would be a new fan to support Persis Solo Women's Soccer Team. I love women's soccer.

I have been a women's soccer fan since the 2011 World Cup in Germany which Japan won the historic-World Champion by the penalty round against my favorite national team, the USWNT (United States Women's National Team). I favorited some greatest women's players such as Alex Morgan (USWNT), Abby Wambach (USWNT), Hope Solo (USWNT), Mia Hamm (USWNT), Homare Sawa (Japan), Louisa Necib (France), and many more. At present, I favorite new women's soccer players generation like Lindsey Horan (USWNT), Rose Lavelle (USWNT), Samantha Mewis (USWNT), Abby Dahlkemper (USWNT), and Alexia Putellas (Spain). Women's soccer is more entertained than men's soccer, that why I would always be behind of supporting the women's soccer. People said that women's sports which included soccer is boring and anybody never care, but you should see that women's sports have made an awesome record, which in the most attendance-fans in stadium. Just recently, FC Barcelona have made twice attendance-fans record are reached more than 90.000 people at Camp Nou (FC Barcelona took Real Madrid in the front of 91.553 people and FC Barcelona played VfL Wolfsburg in the front of 91.600 people, in total of 183.153 people in two matches). Isn't it amazing? Who said that women's sports boring and no one care of?

The whole of the world should thank the United States. America has Title IX which the laws created to fully support and fund as equal as men's sports get. When European banned the women playing soccer, meanwhile America took over became the first country to allowing girls playing soccer in the 1970s. By Title IX passed in America (1972), the data have shown a 17.000% increase in U.S girls playing on high school soccer teams, according to the National Federation of High School Association through LA Times. That means at least 100 girls per high school team in America playing soccer which almost same as men's usually playing football (means the American football). The conclusion is American girls playing soccer and American boys playing football. That made a big successful the USWNT have been dominated and won the World Cup and the gold medal Olympics and made the longest-undefeated record and led the Number One at FIFA Women's Soccer Ranking. No one made close to them before they got stuck in 2016 when the USWNT made an upset loss to Sweden by the penalty round. The USWNT has inspired me to support the girls playing soccer, basketball, football, or other sports. That's why I have been always a USWNT fan in all my life. The USWNT also inspires all the world to allowing the girls have freedom playing soccer. The greatest increase the women's soccer in Europe that can't be separated from the role of the USWNT have demonstrated women's soccer in the world.

That's why really important more investments in women's soccer in Solo, federations, communities, other cities, and the world. We all know that many investors would like to invest in men's soccer and make a huge gap between men's and women's teams, it is definitely an injustice and against the human rights that should be investing more as equal as possible, they can. I know none of the fans care of women's soccer but let the time speaks itself. What we see FC Barcelona made an amazing record the most attendance-fans in women's soccer and its just beginning but its a sign of the women's soccer has risen up. The women's sports have ready for becoming the future and promising sports industry.

As of idea of an equal salary, I as being to congratulate that the USWNT has made the crucial history-- the equal salary when it came the USWNT players have been spending to advocate and campaign the equal salary as their greatest success to dominate the international women's soccer. I support it for sure but it's too beginning because still much only plays in a small stadium and the lowest averaged 5.000 fans every season. That's bad. How could we expect to get more revenue to pay the players equal pay? Can't be reason by the achievement, that exactly I support as well. I as well as for all the things you get to know how to get or create big marketing so you can pay the equal even highest salary to the players. It takes a long time, but like what I tell you let the time speaks itself. We all are going to have to believe the process. Fans, people, family, and community would love to watch the women's sports. Men's athletes to give full support to them. That's very inclusive and deserve that should be.

So, the things I wrote are expected to make an impact on the Solo people and whoever cares about the women's support would like to come to the stadium and be a longtime fan. An athlete gets paid to play and make the fans happy and enjoyed the game. I hope all girls who live in Solo that have a chance of playing soccer as anything man does.

Let's make more investment in women's soccer and sports in Solo!

Welcome to Solo! Welcome to the women's soccer!

I'm a Retired Deaf Activist

I was born to a Deaf person in the middle of a hearing family who does not know sign language and grew up in different ways, neither in the Deaf world nor the hearing world. I studied at a Deaf school using a read-lips method and a mainstream school. So, I'm also a former mainstreamed school alumnus. What was the experience I have become a Deaf person? It was a thrilling journey. Living in an unfriendly country always be challenging. I sometimes was asked why was I born like that and why was I stuck at this family who doesn't know sign language. It felt unfair, though.  I had been an activist since June 2016 and joined Gerkatin (Gerakan untuk Kesejahteraan Tuli untuk Indonesia) which is a Deaf organization. I worked lots-- such as an interpreter, sign language teacher, public speaker, event committee, coordinator, and lead the group, etc-- and had experienced lots, which downs and ups. It was mixed feelings. Being an activist that what you see it looks fun and cool but either t...

Saya ...

Look at a title, that says I am Christian. Yep, I am Christian and am a follower of Christ. I have prepared some questions might you want to ask When was getting baptized? In December 2019 at GKI Gejayan, Yogyakarta. My baptized name is Malachi Raka. Where is the church usually you worship? English Worship, Yogyakarta. Why did you convert to Christianity? It’s a long story but that came to me who had been fighting for the truth and what makes me feel comfortable and to grow up who am myself.
